Product Care Guide

Washing

Avoid machine washing. Hand wash only, in cold water, using a mild detergent made for delicate fibres (a wool-safe or baby shampoo works well). Never wring the fabric. Instead, press out excess water gently and lay it flat on a clean towel to dry, away from direct sunlight.

Storage

Fold rather than hang, to avoid stretching the fibres under their own weight. Store in a breathable cotton bag, not a sealed plastic bag, which can trap moisture. Keep away from direct contact with perfumes or deodorants, which can stain or weaken the fibre over time.

Pilling

Some light pilling is normal with natural fibres and is not a sign of poor quality. It can be gently removed with a fabric comb designed for delicate knits. Never use a razor or standard fabric shaver, which can damage the weave.

Moths

Like all animal-fibre textiles, Pashmina and wool pieces are vulnerable to moths. Cedar blocks or lavender sachets in storage are a safer long-term deterrent than mothballs, which can leave a lingering chemical smell in delicate fibres.

Embroidered & Suit Pieces

For Sozni-embroidered and suit set pieces, dry cleaning is generally safer than hand washing, especially for pieces with heavier embroidery, as this helps protect thread tension and colour. Iron on a low setting, from the reverse side, and avoid direct heat on embroidered areas.
